I have evaluated many software platforms over the years and I really only like to write about the ones that I feel would appeal to the general HR/Recruiting world.  I am not the hope and dreams crusher so to speak and like to bring what I believe is true values add a tool to the table.  I believe that this is one of those tools, let me explain what I mean.

At the recent convention I spoke at and Emceed I was really shackled by my job duties to get to spend time with the vendors. Actually, when I did a quick pass through there really were not many tools I had not seen before or that I was interested in. My pal Garrick was invited to a meet up with Intuit and asked them if I could tag along.  After a few minutes of chatting in came three gentlemen and sat beside us. Turns out they were invited as well and they were a young startup. After pleasant conversation and snacks, we sort of broke into separate conversations. They told me about the software, what it did, and what separated them in their opinion from the rest of the market.

Erin: The Easiest Employee Referral Software I Have Seen

Now, sure referrals are not sourcing, I get that but sure is a hell of a way to get warm leads you don’t have to write fancy strings or scrape websites. Nope let me go over the features with you:

– All open positions are accessible via a mobile app with the amount of the referral and a GUI button

– It is very simple and totally user-friendly, unlike most ATS systems, the flow is perfect

– All the employee has to do is text the referral with a message

– The referral then applies through their phone to the role

– It is a mobile platform that goes into you ATS automatically

– The referral is then moved to candidate status and tracked as such with the employee

Done, and done. Now what I love about this tool is the ease for the employee and for the candidate. They also, both know that whoever the recruiter is they are not blindly sending in a resume to the proverbial black hole. Let’s look at a scenario:

Jessica is hanging out at the old pub that she used to go to with coworkers from her old job. When she sees a few of her old coworkers come through the door seeing her and smiling and waving. They get a table and reminisce about better times when she was with the company and a few say, “yeah we are looking quietly but it is hard to get into some of the companies we would want to work for, you know, like yours.”  Jessica smiles and knowing what her friends are capable of she tells them that she is going to text them roles they can apply for and they will be marked as referrals and should get to the top of the list for the positions. They sit there, like everyone does these days, and push buttons on their phones.

It’s not magic or rocket science that what should happen next is win-win for everyone all based on the team of Erin their simple software. Jobs are filled employees are paid and happy. Both are on the road to retention pretty quickly.  I mean it really cannot get any really easier than this. Check them out at https://erinapp.com get a demo and tell them Derek sent you! I don’t get a dime from them I just like solid tech in our sector! Happy hunting anyway you can. #truestory
