First off, I want to say thank you for attending my session. I love speaking in front of audiences virtually and in person. I’m always incredibly nervous just before I hit the stage, but afterwards I am so pumped because of you. I love hearing your questions, having a conversation with you, and sharing the things I’ve learned about online and digital recruiting since I first started in human resources in 2001. Speaking is truly the most terrifying and energizing thing that I do in my work and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
WHY DIGITIZING TALENT?
I wrote my book, Digitizing Talent because so much has changed in a short time when it comes to online and digital recruiting, and it will continue to do so as our job seekers are digital natives who expect to connect with organizations and learn about positions online. So much of what we do in our work is powered and influenced from our computers and – most importantly – our mobile devices.
