Great post, I do think that this is somewhat under represented in Asia. Jim, I`m in Tokyo and Hong Kong and know there is still a challenge for Linkedin to bring its usership up in non-English speaking countries. There`s a lot of challenges to fueling the growth of the companies in Asia, although there is huge market potential and these companies realize it. They would be better to conduct recruiting through microblogging sites in China like Weibo, and, Japan boasts a growing userbase on Facebook, companies like Salesforce, Adobe, Microsoft, are using branding and marketing for their companies in the regional native language and implementing a slow drip campaign.
We`ll see how effective Linkedin is in growing its membership in North Asia, interested to see how they will pursue this.
