I think we can all agree that the business we do within the human resources function is in flux right now, and that’s mainly because our entire world is a giant moving target. This unpredictable series of fire drills have HR leaders running in circles while also learning to adapt to a workplace environment that for us is online and remote.

It’s the small things that seem to trip me up the most like communicating changes to workplace policies like temperature checks or moving our employee onboarding process completely online.

DocuSign has made a difference for me in streamlining and making remote processes easy. From employee signing offer letters, non-disclosure agreements, or other new hire paperwork, their technology makes it easy for everyone from hiring manager, employee, to candidate to quickly access and acknowledge information from anywhere.

New Hire Offer Letters and Paperwork Made Easy

One of my favorite features is the ability to customize each experience for the employee or candidate. Docusign allows the admin to add in custom features like their name, salary information and other important details you, as an HR leader, need to know. Their mobile responsive design makes it easy to view and sign paperwork anywhere.

I love the customization and business branding features especially when it comes to candidates because it creates a great candidate experience that is streamlined, seamless, customized, and professional to suit your specific needs.

Changing or updating forms is also easy for the HR leader or recruiter to do on the fly. You can use the DocuSign mobile app to quickly send a form while you are on the go as well as from your laptop or desktop computer. DocuSign also has built-in templates and resources.

Collecting new hire documentation and verifying identification is another challenge businesses are facing with so much of our workforce being remote. DocuSign offers ID verification that is secure and encrypted to help you collect new hire documentation. Their I-9 form has required fields and ensures things are complete keeping you in compliance and up to date. Plus, with their many integrations, you can pull your new hire data and information directly to the electronic document to sign and back to your various HR systems. They offer a host of integrations. Their systems and templates are available to you ensuring that mailing addresses are validated and other important employee contact information.

Custom Automation and Reminders at Your Fingertips

For so many of us, HR and employees included, are juggling virtual school along with a full workload. It’s easy for our employees to overlook an important policy change or update which is why Docusign offers automatic reminders that you can customize to send out gently reminding your employees to electronically sign and acknowledge the policy change. There’s no more chasing around employees and spending time sending out email reminders manually.

PowerForms Deliver On-Demand Forms and Signatures—No Integration, No Hassle

Another feature Docusign has rolled out is the ability to generate on-demand, self-service documents for signature. This eliminates document preparation time, and can easily pull collected data into your existing applications. With PowerForms, you can build general forms and make them available to a wide audience to sign on demand. Depending on how people complete your form, you can use conditional routing to construct business rules to automatically route the form to the appropriate parties. In addition to their flexibility, PowerForms feature the industry-leading DocuSign security and user-friendly experience that you and your customers expect.

There are so many ways that HR leaders can leverage DocuSign to help streamline their HR processes especially now with our workforce being online, mobile, and remote. DocuSign has been key to my success and streamlining our own processes allowing me to use my time more strategically focused on supporting the business instead of overwhelmed with paperwork and chasing everyone to complete forms and update employees.
