How to find out how the job market is (really) doing

There are a lot of economic indicators out there to measure where we are in terms of job growth. Well, I am not an economist (nor do I play one on TV), but it seems to me that one way to know for sure that companies, such as employment agencies, are ramping up on hiring is by keeping an eye out on how many recruiter jobs are out there and on the rise. The way I keep an eye on that is by using Indeed’s Job Trends tool.

So, according to this data, the past 2 years has been lackluster for companies hiring recruiters. (No news flash there!) However, between January 2010 and January 2011, the data is trending up, which is to say – Hallelujah!
