EPISODE 7: CULTURE THAT ROCKS WITH JIM KNIGHT (@KNIGHTSPEAKER)
Jim Knight is someone that just energizes an audience and a group of people when he comes into a room. He is workplace culture personified. Employee engagement is at an all time low for some organizations and competition for their best employees is at pre-recession levels. Jim’s new book, Culture That Rocks helps bring light to how best in class companies are creating amazing communities and teams. I’ve been bugging Jim about writing a book for a while just because of the amazing culture he helped created at Hard Rock. He’s a wealth of knowledge on what it takes to have a great culture at your company.
Jim has spoken to companies all over the world, but his background is in hospitality and restaurant industry. It’s one of the highest turnover industries, but in my experience it has some of the most amazing teams. Jim shares some of those insights on my podcast. You just need to listen to really see how is helping managers and companies create cultures that retain the best employees.
Give Jim a follow on Twitter @knightspeaker to learn about when his new book drops. Be sure to connect with him and share your story about why you have an awesome workplace team and company.
