Ep 59 – 3 New & Emerging HR Technologies #HRTechConf

EPISODE 59: NEW EMERGING HR TECHNOLOGIES – PART 2

This podcast is part two of a three (possible four) part series where I introduce my podcast listeners and blog readers to a group of new and emerging HR technologies. These podcast(s) include a series of short mini-interviews where I talk with CEOs and Founders of disruptive and impacting-making HR and recruiting technologies. The HR technology industry is one of the hottest investments for investment firms and venture capital with new startups and companies popping up every day. In the first half of 2015, over $811 million dollars was invested in HR tech. In this podcast series I talk with HR technology companies who are driving innovation and change each in different ways. You can check out Part 1 of our emerging HR technology podcast series by clicking here.

Meet Steve Wilbourne and John Tabb with Questis (@myquestis)

Steve and John are the co-founders of Questis which provides companies with a financial coaching resource and technology designed for your employees. Questis isn’t a new company per say. They have been in business for 9 years in financial services. Their technology was developed out of a desire and need to provide resources, information and ultimately a service that business leaders can provide for their employees.

Finances are often the biggest stress for employees outside of the company. Most are living paycheck to paycheck. Questis provides companies a way to help lessen that stress and burden for employees. This way employees can focus on getting on their job and less about the stress that occurs with money. This technology is part of the growth I’m seeing in company benefit programs.

Meet Phil Strazzulla with LifeGuides (@lifeguidesme)

Phil Strazzulla is the co-founder of LifeGuides a company focused on employment branding and providing employer resources for job seekers, applicants and candidates. Phil is a Harvard Business Graduate of their MBA program and has a background in the venture capital world before starting LifeGuides.

Their technology helps companies provide with resources in the form of rich media that showcase companies and are optimized for search engine optimization to reach the right passive job seeker audience. LifeGuides is one of the many new companies emerging in the employment branding side of HR and recruiting technology.

Meet Shikhar Mishra with Simppler (@simppler)

Shikhar Mishra is the co-founder of Simppler. Employee referrals have always been a challenge and common practice in the past has used employee social networks to share and broadcast job openings to friends, family and connections online. The social media world is a crowded one. Tweets and Facebook shares have an extremely short shelf life not to mention employees doesn’t always know who they are connected to that are qualified for current company job openings.

Simppler uses advanced machine learning tapping into your employee’s social media contacts and offer options for employees to make introductions or allow the recruiters to be able to engage and approach the candidate themselves.
