As we continue our coverage leading up to the 2015 SHRM Annual Conference in Las Vegas, I’m busy internet shopping and pre-packing. These days I only travel with my carry on luggage so I spend a great deal of time selecting my shoes, clothing and accessories. I don’t want to be that girl who looses her luggage and has to start from square one. My SHRM conference agenda is packed already.

The 2015 SHRM Annual Conference is nearly upon us. June 27-July 1 in sunny Las Vegas, 15,000 HR professionals will be joining together to connect, learn and share everything human resources and recruiting. SHRM Annual is one of my favorite conferences, but because of its size, it can be extremely overwhelming. It’s the reason we developed the Las Vegas Conference Guide as well as our unofficial party guide.

Episode 42: How to Get the Most Out of SHRM Annual Conference (#SHRM15) – (Part 2)

As we continue our tips, tricks and insights from conference veterans for this episode of the Workology Podcast. We’re again going straight to the source and talking experts on how to make the most out of the SHRM Annual Conference.

  • SHRM Annual Speaker, Jennifer McClure (LinkedIn | Twitter). Jennifer has some great insights and as a fellow intervrt shares some awesome tips and suggestions on how to navigate the large conference, make friends and stay recharged. We introvert need our quiet time.
  • SHRM Annual Conference Ringmaster in Chief, Letty Kluttz (LinkedIn | Twitter). Letty’s official title at SHRM is Director of Conference Programming and Development. She shares great insights into how SHRM prepares for the annual conference. Most of the SHRMies are already in Las Vegas and gives us a sneak peak into SHRM’s new game within their app. Download it for IOS and Droid.
  • Chief Blogger, Jessica Miller-Merrell (LinkedIn | Twitter). As a fellow member of the introvert club like Jennifer, research is the key to making the annual conference a great time for me. It’s the reason I put together the party alerts via text and the unofficial party guide, but my favorite place to connect with other SHRM members before the conference is SHRM Connect.

Be sure to listen to the podcast as these guest have some surprising nuggets and valuable insights to share. Make some time to connect with Jennifer and Letty. They are great examples of why the HR profession is truly unique. Have a tip? Be sure to leave yours in the comment section below.
