Its time to get excited because we are just days away from this year’s national SHRM conference– I’m furiously planning my sessions that I’ll be attending at upcoming #SHRM17! Its been tough to decide – the organizers have done a fabulous job of offering a ton of great sessions that are on topic/trend for this year’s conference.

Don’t Miss These #SHRM17 Conference Sessions

A few tips:

– Sessions fill up quickly, so always have a back up or two identified in advance

– Be strategic and consider attending sessions that are located near each other (sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn’t, but good to consider either way)

– Check to see if a session that you’re interested is offered at another time – many sessions are repeated

– You can sleep on the plane – get up early and attend those early AM sessions and don’t miss out on those later afternoon session

– Scoop up those Wednesday sessions – lots of great sessions and learnings during the Wednesday morning sessions

– Don’t forget to make time to visit the bloggers and the smart stage – bite size, quick, personalized learnings and sessions

Find and plan your sessions online on the #SHRM17 website. The cool thing about the search is that you can use keywords, session type, learning track, or competency to find items that you’re looking for. It’s a nifty tool and I use it along side the conference app.

Decisions, decisions … Here are my TOP 10 “Gotta See” session based on trends that I’m seeing in the news, business landscape, and just my personal interest. I’m always intersted in HR Tech will spend a good deal of time in the expo hall talking to vendors and looking at demos — but I’m also very interested in what’s going on in the benefits space, remote worker, HR strategy, current events — and I ALWAYS make time to see Steve Browne’s session (no matter what the topic)!  Can’t wait to hear what’s on your list!
