Thursday, March 10, 2013 at 3 PM EST marks Blogging4Jobs’s first official Twitter chat in conjunction with our Big Data HR themed week on the blog all sponsored by our friends at Jibe (Send them a shout out at @jibe as their support helps keep our servers on). While it’s the blog’s first official Twitter chat, I’m no stranger to them and co-founded the first job search Twitter chat, #JobHuntChat in 2010 with my good friend, Rich DeMatteo who you may know as @cornonthejob.

#BigDataHR Twitter Chat

From 3-4 PM, you are invited to join the chat using the Twitter hashtag, #BigDataHR. I’m excited to report that in 3 days we have more than 15 million Twitter impressions to date helping to drive awareness and education around using Big Data in human resources and recruiting. I recommend using Tweet Chat to follow along the fast moving Twitter chat stream. HootSuite and TweetDeck also work fine by creating a column, but Tweet Chat automatically includes the hashtag and helps organize the Twitter stream via the event hashtag.

Because of the overwhelming support and insights, I thought it best to share our #BigDataHR Twitter chat questions to get you prepped before the fast moving Twitter chat happens tomorrow.

  • Q1: How is #bigdata helping to change #HR? How is it helping to advance the #humancapital industry? #BigDataHR
  • Q2: What are some ways #recruiters & #HR can leverage #bigdata in the jobs? #BigDataHR
  • Q3: What are some common misconceptions about #bigdata for #hr & #recruiting? #BigDataHR
  • Q4: Who owns #bigdata? Is it the candidate, platform or recruiter?  #BigDataHR
  • Q5: What are some ways you have successfully used #bigdata in your job? #BigDataHR

Every 10 minutes starting at 3:00 PM, a different question will launch where we will tweet, retweet and tweet again discussing all things big data, HR and recruiting.

I hope you can join us tomorrow at 3 PM EST on Twitter for #BigDataHR and get your Twittering fingers ready.
