I am so excited to share this news with you! My new book, Digitizing Talent: Creative Strategies for the Digital Recruiting Age, will be published in September by the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). It is a culmination of conversations, research, experiences, and support I’ve received and experienced throughout the past two decades of my professional career.

The most important thing I wanted to accomplish with this book was to take the mystery out of recruiting in the digital space. For most of us, HR and talent acquisition is a long-term career. If you’ve been in HR as long as I have, you remember when you placed help-wanted ads in a print newspaper, maybe posted a job or two on Craigslist, but as far as developing an entire digital recruiting strategy? We have a lot to keep up with already, and adding search engine optimization (SEO), best practices for online job posts, legislation around what we can and cannot ask in our online applications…all of this can feel really overwhelming. And many of us are working on HR teams of one or two!

I will let you know as soon as pre-orders are available, but in the meantime I invite you to text ‘DIGITAL’ to 512-548-3005 (yes, this is really me!) to get a sample chapter and updates about our virtual and in-person events. You’ll be in the know for everything related to the book launch and various offers and pre-sales as they are available.

Digitizing Talent: Creative Strategies for the Digital Recruiting Age will soon have a companion website where you can find resources and help for your own recruitment strategies. I want recruiting and HR professionals like me to have easy access to support your digital recruiting efforts, small and large, from advertising on TikTok (and how to do that) to creating a strategy that aligns with your organizational goals.

Thank you for being my inspiration and for asking all the questions. I intend to keep finding the answers for you!

My very best,

Jessica
