Judging by the Tweets, Emails and casual conversations I receive, the economy still sucks, especially if you are an unemployed, under-employed or unhappily employed Recruiter. Not too long ago, I gave a few tips on how Recruiters can find hidden job opportunities during a recession. Well, here are a few more. I have created a series of search strings that you can use to find hidden opportunities using the Google search engine. They will also work on Live and Yahoo, so feel free to try your luck there as well. As a treat, I am going to share with you search strings that I created manually and those that were made with the use of an automated tool. First, the manual strings.

By the way, click the PDF icon above to download this article and pass around to anyone you know that could use it. Cool? Cool…

Okay, enough of that, here is the info…

You may want to check out a Sourcing tool that I recommend to all of my Recruiter friends “Resume Finder.” If you are a Recruiter too busy to source or a Sourcer with too many reqs to source for, I highly suggest that you try this tool out. I will be going into more detail about the fantastic tools available from eGrabber in the very near future. For now, check out some of the results I was able to create in moments using eGrabber’s Resume Finder tool to locate Recruiter jobs on the web.

Recruiter Jobs On Craigslist:

If you like this type of thing and you know some recruiters in your network that could use the help, please refer them to this list or click here to download a PDF of this post and send it to them that way. Please let them know that I wish them well in their search.

Happy Hunting!

P.S. Be on the watch for a VERY cool tool coming from eGrabber in the near future. It was debuted at SourceCon. I thought it was SOOOO cool that I had to have all of my pals check it out.  But more on that later…

  1. Hi Jim,

I enjoyed learning about this resource for recruiters. When you spoke of seeking work according to lifestyle, were you referring to a Boolean search? I have tried to find virtual opportunities in recruiting (and in general), but when I type in “virtual” and “work from home” on Google, I usually end up with a bunch of MLM stuff and “Work at Home Moms” junk. Do you have any crafty ideas that I could implement?

    Thanks for your time.

    Mike
